Tutorial 01

It is easy to learn Photoshop using the videos provided. The videos show many techniques in editing pictures. Such as ;

* using the selection tools
* knowing the hot keys in photoshop
* distort using free transforms' tool
* apply basic efx using filter

These are the steps that I used to finish up my tutorial 1.

The first step required me to put the guide in order to blur the center of the image as later, the starfish will be the main focus in the picture. During this step also, I need to use Gaussian blur and also apply feather to make the edge softer.

Then, drag down the starfish from the archive and duplicate it. Adjust the size using free transform to make the depth of field more obvious. More far, the smaller starfish would be.

Next, apply Gaussian blur to show great depth of field.

The next step, I put radial blur to show that the starfish is really falling down from the sky. But since the radial blur doesn't apply the negative value, I need to apply mask layer and delete the part which need to be focus on the starfish.

And then the halftone to make it not flat as poster, but more to real plasma tv on the wall. The actual step - select the blue part of plasma tv and then select Filter > Sketch > Halftone pattern and setting it a little bit. Then, drag it to the main image which is the scrapper with the starfishes ready in it.

After that, using the free transform tool, distort the tv accordingly to the wall.

Apply shadow to make it not look-alike poster. Play around with the opacity.

Lastly, make the shadow which drop from the tall building across the plasma tv. I have to use the marquee tool to make the shape of the shadow and fill it in with black color. Apply mask layer to let the black color only appear on the plasma tv, but not on the building. Apply Gaussian blur to soften the edges. And lastly play around with the opacity.

And this is my final result of this tutorial!
